I can confirm this on a working, physical Karmic-machine with all the latest updates. When I insert a CD or DVD it doesn't get mounted automatically whereas it worked before. I haven't inserted a DVD in the last few days so I can't say when exactly the breakage occurred.

manually mounting the drives works, however.
