Ken,

This error message probably indicates that the device name in /etc/fstab (and possibly in /etc/crypttab) does not match the device name that's being set up in the initramfs. Can you boot with init=/bin/sh, and compare the contents of /etc/fstab with /dev/mapper/ ?
