Frankly, I can't really find out which problem it's supposed to solve, maybe you can elaborate? Google searches only turn up problems, and

doesn't help either. (But there doesn't seem to be many manpages around these days.)

I'm sticking to my cron-killall-solution for now. Since it's a problem with data structures leaking it seems to work fine.
