Since I de- and reinstalled alsa und pulseaudio my system is much more stable. I usually have sound.
But when I try to use Skype, the VT1708 Sound card disappears or stops working. (ASRock motherboard 775Dual-VSTA see above) As it is in my case related with Skype I wouldn't reopen this bug.

@Nick could you use the command apport-bug in terminal to send your data. Maybe Daniel T Chen gets the data he needs from your report.

@Daniel, I have not tried the drivers from ppa:ubuntu-audio-dev yet. Do you think I should? What should I install?
