The stable release of Ubuntu MDIS coincides with the release schedule of Ubuntu LTS, it is Ubuntu LTS compatible only. Ubuntu MDIS primarily installs packages from the Ubuntu repositories, external packages are installed if required.
The Ubuntu MDIS Project minimizes the contributing developers effort, by focusing solely on the script. It encourages vitality and progression, by welcoming developers to contribute short term.
The Ubuntu MDIS Project strives to include all desktop environments available in the Ubuntu repositories, alongside a logical selection of stable applications to suit the desktop environments. It strives to exist harmoniously within the Ubuntu distribution ecosystem.
