txStomp is a Twisted implementation of the open protocol Stomp and allows for Twisted applications to be integrated in environments (e.g., ones that use ActiveMQ) that depend on this technology.
Stomp (Streaming Text Orientated Messaging Protocol, formerly known as TTMP) is an open protocol which provides an interoperable wire format that allows Stomp clients to talk with any Stomp Message Broker, one of the most popular being Apache's ActiveMQ.
