Rebirth is a complement to Exorcism, while Exorcism can save a Plone site from addons which simply won't import in future versions, sometimes the content of a site is fine, and the site itself is still somewhat .. posessed. Rebirth is designed to essentially replicate the content structure, ownership, workflow state, etc.. To create a working version of a site which has its' essence, but just doesn't work right anymore.
