The μnix video subsystem is composed to two ATxmegas clocked at 32MHz: ATxmega32A3 and an ATxmega64A3 in TQFP64 packaging. They represent the VGA GPU and the VGA Display Controller. Therefore, this project contains two complete and separate firmware hex images as key deliverables. The goal of the μnix VGA project is to support 800x600 VGA in >= 8bpp. This isn't an entirely easy task for 8-bit processors but they are helped by a separate, dedicated sync generator.
