Grantlee is a string template engine based on the Django template system and written in Qt.

The goal of Grantlee is to create a flexible and multi-context string template engine for the Free Desktop.

String template systems are common in the context of web development, but not common in the context of rich-client application development. Systems like Grantlee can bring theming capability to rich client applications and document creators as well as flexible code generation possibilities for IDEs.

Highlights in Grantlee include use in KJots and KMail development versions for theming, use for code generation in other projects, speed of development, optimization of the code and excellent unit test coverage.
