Registered by Ubuntu Backporters

If you would like to see a package backported, file a bug report. Before you do so, however, make sure it meets the guidelines for backporting set by the Ubuntu Tech Board:

* Must be present in a Ubuntu repository (development version, newer release, etc). Use http://packages.ubuntu.com/ to search for the package, make sure it is present in a newer version of Ubuntu. Again, a package cannot be backported unless it's already in some Ubuntu repository. We do NOT backport from Debian, or any other repository than Ubuntu.

* Must remain backwards-compatible with existing components. This means that major revisions of libraries or core applications may not be backported if they can cause compatibility problems with existing system components.
