Bug Description

Initially I thought that the headphones were not working at all (unless I unmuted the microphone on the front audio jack). I was using Digital Output (S/PDIF) in the sound output settings and was getting no audio through the headphones. I ran through the first few steps here - https://help.ubuntu.com/community/SoundTroubleshootingProcedure

After that, I guess it changed the default output and after raising the volume a bit I noticed sound coming from both the speakers and headphones.

I read a few sites that said that auto-detect should be working and that if it wasn't, it was most likely a bug with recognition of the sound chip and to add something along the lines of options snd-hda-intel model=<model> to the alsa, but I couldn't find anything to use for my model (and one of the threads said that the model should be auto-detected and added anyway).

Don't know if this will help or not -
