Bug Description
1. open the dash with super key
2. type some text
3. press and hold left arrow key to move the cursor to the far left
4. press shift+right arrow key so that the whole text is selected
5. now leave shift and press right arrow key to unselect the selected text.
What should happen
the selected text should be unselected on pressing right arrow and the user should be able to append characters to the already written search query
What happens instead
nothing, the text is still highlighted.
=======Original report========
Open ubuntu dash type some text, select the text from left to right such that the cursor is at the right end. Press right arrow, the expected behaviour is the cursor should no longer select the selected text and be ready for insertion of text. But the text still remains selected causing the text insertion to delete the selected text.
