Binary package hint: lxtask

Lxtask shows 100% CPU usage regardless of actual usage. Launch lxtask and after a second or two delay CPU usage goes straight to 100% usage and remains there.

I think this is a real CPU consumption, probably caused by the lxsession process. See https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/lxsession/+bug/797094

could you please kill the lxsession process and see if the load comes back to normal ? If so, then it is a duplicate of bug 797094

I can confirm this behaviour and I can also confirm that if you kill lxsession it drops the CPU down to lower levels (watching CPU usage on host computer when running Lubuntu in a VM) but also logs you out. Upon logging in lxsession goes back to 100%.
