Empty window list

Bug Description

Compiz occasionally loses windows completely, leaving the user with an empty window list and no way to switch to any application. It appears to happen when switching back to the desktop. The applications themselves are not crashing and a switch back to metacity shows that they are still running.

Can you provide specific step-by-step instructions on how to reproduce the issue? If it's not always reproducible, please indicate so.

Also can you please verify which flavour of compiz you're referring to: the vanilla package in Ubuntu's repositories or the beryl flavour?

Beryl is seperate package and bugs for it should not be filed against compiz. I am running stock compiz on stock xorg on Feisty.

Reproduciblity? Not easy. It seems to happen after several hours of running. however.

I suspect this is due to compiz being dumb about workspaces. Thus marking as duplicate.
