Bug Description

Binary package hint: unity

When you drag an unfocused window into the titlebar, you get a maximized window with window controls and controls in the top panel.

Steps to reproduce:
1) Maximize window
2) Drag and unmaximize the window from titlebar (do not release drag, the window should be unfocused)
3) Drag the window back into the titlebar

You need to have Unity configured to Dodge Active window.

I can't reproduce this. How do you drag an unfocused window? Clicking the title bar to start the drag focuses the window.

Unity needs to be configured to Dodge Active Window for this bug to occur.

Confirmed. Dragging a window from any state (snapped, windowed) to the title bar will produce this. Has to do with changing window buttons to the title bar.

could anyone make a little video to show the problem. I atm don't seem to re-create the issue, even with Dodge Active window as the hide method.
