Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnome-power-manager

When an external display is attached, the "When laptop lid is closed" option under the "On AC Power" tab should have a choice for "Never" in addition to "Blank Screen", "Suspend", "Hibernate" and "Shutdown".

I often run my netbook with an external monitor/kb/mouse (effectively docked), and the lack of the aforementioned "Never" option forces me to keep the netbook open, as it will blank the display on the EXTERNAL monitor when I close the netbook's lid. (the netbook's display is turned off through the the monitors preferences applet)

I am able to prevent blanking on lid close by disabling /etc/acpi/lid.sh (changing "#!/bin/bash" to "#!/bin/true"), however this should be achievable through the power prefs gui

alannadenver: While external screen is blanked when closing lid, you can just move that external mouse to get picture back...
