Thank you for reporting this to Ubuntu. Sometimes Firefox profiles can become corrupt and/or extensions can conflict. Could you please try this with a new profile and see if the problem still exists? You do not need to delete your old profile to test. If this helps, you might want to try to disable all your extensions and re-enable them one by one until you find the problematic one.

You can start the profile manager with the following command:
firefox -ProfileManager

status: New → Incomplete

I tested this with new profile and without extensions and it doesn't seem to be related to profiles and/or extensions. Crash occurred when I had two tabs open and the other site was using some Java-stuff.

I can repeat this, but I'm not that good with Linux that I could give anymore output. Everything that Ubuntu Terminal gave as output was "Segmentation fault".

Could somebody tell me how to debug this, so I could send some more information?

Could you please generate an apport crash report for this?
You can enable apport for one instance like this:
sudo service apport start force_start=1

I am marking this invalid as apport will open a new bug when the crash is generated. If it does not, you can reset the status of this one to New and we will try something else.

status: Incomplete → Invalid

That was simple enough. Bug #603362 is now reported. At this point It's still private.

Bug #603362 is still private. How can others experiencing this issue track or contribute if the bug is private? I understand that a crash report potentially containing personal information needs to be protected, but having only a private bug does little to help the community. Is there an active public bug report for tracking this issue? Thanks.

I agree what Jesse Banet wrote, though there hasn't been any activity to this bug. Bug #603362 is now public.
