scrollz 2.1-1 gets auto-synced once auto-sync get enabled for maverick, no need to file sync requests for packages without an Ubuntu delta.

There was a buffer overflow fix in 2.1, so it is highly desired to update it before next Ubuntu release http://www.netraam.com/ScrollZ/source/ChangeLog.2.1

And I am not sure it will be sync'ed - seems like some Launchpad facilities misbehaving - https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/574398

Unsubscribing sponsors and marking as Invalid as as Michael said before, this package will be automatically synced.
If this doesn't happen before one month, please open back the bug report.

thanks,

How do you expect me to check if it will be synced or not? Do I need to visit some page every day or update automatically popup in my 10.04?

Michael Bienia (geser) wrote :

Sync request apply only for the development version (10.10), if you want to see it also in lucid (10.04) a SRU (Stable Release Update) needs to get prepared (nothing will happen automatically).

Anyway scrollz 2.1-1 got auto-synced to maverick on 2010-05-09.

New upstream version from Debian fixes two bugs which may, under realistic circumstances, directly cause a security vulnerability.

! some bugs that led to crashes (mostly dereferencing NULL pointers)
! buffer overflow crash (reported by fet)

https://wiki.ubuntu.com/StableReleaseUpdates doesn't list what to do with autosynced packages. https://wiki.ubuntu.com/SecurityTeam/UpdateProcedures seems to handle only main and restricted packages. So I will try to subscribe https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-sru
