Bug Description

Binary package hint: empathy

I have attempted several times to place a video call to Google talk contacts. The voice works fine and video from party is received successfully, but empathy won't broadcast my video. I know it's not a hardware issue because video calls with skype work fine.

Note that this only happens when the other user is using windows machine, empathy to empathy and empathy to pidgin calls should work fine.

the actual bug is in h264 encoder https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=619776 they are working on it. though empathy will also need some work.
