incorrect mail applet error message behavior

Bug Description

I noticed that every once in a while the mail applet throws out an error (rightfully, I logged in on another computer), the problem is it spitted out like 15 errors over (one every once in a while) instead of just one so now I have 15 windows to close.

perhaps a check if a GMail docklet generated window is open before throwing out another error? either replacing it or not throwing out the new window?

Please have a look at the screenshot
http://img690.imageshack.us/img690/1942/mailapplet.png

this is on 2.1.0 r1300
(not the leakfix branch as indicated on the right side of the screenshot, that is on another computer)

I'm on Ubuntu 9.10, Gnome 2.28, Mono 2.4.2.3, nVidia 9500 w/ the 185 drivers and compiz... though none of that seems relevant :P

That message box is not generated by our program. In fact, the GMail docklet shouldnt spawn *any* message dialogs. Ever.
