Bug Description
Binary package hint: indicator-applet
indicator-applet 0.3.3-0ubuntu1, indicator-messages 0.3.3-0ubuntu2, Ubuntu Lucid
In the messaging menu, the text of the "Chat" and "Mail" items does not line up with the text of the "Broadcast" and "Pidgin" items.
I assume this problem would happen for any indicator-applet menu with icons, in which case it's an indicator-applet bug in general rather than an indicator-me bug in particular.
Just as the text of all items with zero icons should line up with each other, the text of all items with one icon at the leading end should line up with each other, regardless of the width of that icon.
(This bug is independent of bug 537312, which is about special indentation of icon-less items in the messaging menu in particular, but it may make that bug easier to fix.)

Some investigation on this has resulted in realizing that there is no 16x16px icon for applications- chat-panel and application- email-panel, only 22x22px icons. For some reason the larger ones are not being loaded and downscaled. This should be fixed in GTK.
But, there should also be 16x16px versions of these icons for Lucid.
Now a bunch of bug edits.
