Bug Description

This package is needed as part of the "Alternate to using Open Office for ARM UNE spec" (https://blueprints.edge.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+spec/mobile-lucid-arm-webservice-for-officeune-2d-launcher) for the Mobile team.

webservice-office-zoho is a small python wrapper script that launches the appropriate Zoho web service for a given file type (doc, sheet, show).

Did you check the MIR requirements on that package? Any problems with it?

Just to go through the points on the MIR requirements page:

  This package:
    is in universe
is requested by the mobile team for ARM images
should have a minimal security risk due to the size and complexity of the code
has no outstanding bugs, works 'out-of-the-box' and is maintained in launchpad
has minimal UI elements (just .desktop files) and what it does have are internationalized
    has little dependencies (python)
    is standards compliance
is actively maintained by the mobile team

This package doesn't use our cdbs langpack.mk rule, so the translations in the .desktop file won't get stripped and no gettext domain appended. Also, the package doesn't use gettext at all. For being able to properly translate this, you need .desktop.in files, build a PO template, and ship translations in .po files.

Also, the binary itself isnt i18n'ed at all. Now, end users won't call this directly usually, so that's just a nitpick and not a MIR blocker.

I'm okay with letting this through if there is a high-priority bug to i18n this package properly.

Otherwise it looks fine.

thanks. "critical" is pretty inflated, but I appreciate the sentiment. :-)

Approved and promoted to main, please go ahead and seed.

we should track bugs like this in ubuntu (not upstream only)
