Bug Description

On luciole 0.8.4 from inattendu repo , on ubuntu kamic. Startup time can be very long : several minutes.

Theses time seems very long just after package installation , then a bit reduced.

sometimes is long , sometimes not. Hard to re-product the problem.
A configuration can be : Fresh karmic install on i386, then install luciole from inattendu repo, then start luciole. To be confirmed

I have the same problem on Karmic 64bit. 0.8.4 (75).
It can take from 3-4 seconds up to a minute.

Also Luciole from the Xubuntu repo takes forever to launch. (on an old machine, with regular launching time for the other programs) .

Hi,
It seems due to GUI theme load ...
Can you try in luciole prefs, change Tropical theme by Default, than restart luciole ?
Luciole is ugly, but seems starting faster.

With the default theme it opens instantly! :-)

As for the beauty, I can hardly distinguish the two themes.
I had to compare two screenshots to notice the differences in the shadows and in the icons.
The default theme might be slightly simpler but definitely not uglier.
I love them both.

Raffaella : I think is not so uglier because I think you have a smart theme installed in your ubuntu. With default human theme the icons on luciole are not the same, that 'Tropical' theme.
