Bug Description
As a newcomer to Launchpad, I am very confused if I look at a duplicate bug. The task table has edit buttons but is uneditable. The indication about its duplicate status is hidden in a portlet on the right, and even then it is not clear that it is the cause of the mess.

This bug report appropriately describes a problem. Bug 317244 and bug 346531 are assumed but mutually exclusive solutions to the problem. Therefore I'm marking them both as duplicates of this one.
(Personally, I strongly prefer the bug 346531 solution of thoroughly disabling the table rather than hiding it. Often the table provides information useful for verifying that it really is a duplicate. It may also contain information on assignee, Importance, etc that you want to transfer to the original after you've marked the duplicate.)
