Bug Description

Binary package hint: openoffice.org

it was a bug about tar failing (probably the unpacking of the package)

in the first time it failed, the second time I pushed "apply" (in synaptic) it installed fine

perhaps it were too much packages at once for synaptic ?

it had to download 700 MB -> 1700 MB to occupy on the harddisk

Hi,

I unfortunately can't reproduce this anymore since I moved on to another distribution for now (Karmic would just timeout at usplash password prompt and my encrypted /home partition) so I decided to try out another distribution

perhaps I'll run into this problem again when changing distribution on my laptop in the near future

Thanks !
