Binary package hint: samba

durin package update (via apt-get upgrade) the following error occures

"package samba-common-bin 2:3.4.0-3ubuntu5.3 failed to install/upgrade: Unterprozess installiertes post-installation-Skript gab den Fehlerwert 2 zurück"

in english it means:

"package samba-common-bin 2:3.4.0-3ubuntu5.3 failed to install/upgrade: child process installed post post-installation-script returned the error code 2"

Hi, do you still get this with samba-common-bin 2:3.4.0-3ubuntu5.4?
And if yes, what does running

sudo update-alternatives --install /usr/bin/nmblookup nmblookup /usr/bin/nmblookup.samba3 0 --slave /usr/share/man/man1/nmblookup.1.gz nmblookup.1.gz /usr/share/man/man1/nmblookup.samba3.1.gz

tell you? (that's one long command, not multiple commands)

Hi,

Regarding the workaround I describe in Bug #550022, I should also note that I had to uninstall package "nautilus-share" before I could uninstall "samba-common-bin". After the workaround, I of course reinstalled "nautilus-share".
