Bug Description

After installing a fresh copy of Linux Mint 8 Helena on my computer, I noticed that Mozilla Firefox 3.5.5 does not have the Adobe Flash Plugin, and I need to go to install it manually.

Invalid in Ubuntu, the presence of Flash isn't a requirement there.

- Which edition of Mint are you running? Main, Universal, x64?
- Did you check the ISO md5 and burn at low speed?
- Did you apply any package updates? If so which ones and using which tool?

- Mint edition: Universal
- MD5 is fine
- Haven`t applyed any updates, is just the first thing I noticed after the fresh install

The Universal Edition comes without most of the codecs pre-installed by default to ease redistribution in countries where patents are applicable to software, i.e. USA, Japan...

If you want to install them and get the same level of multimedia support as found in the other editions, open the menu -> Sound & Video and click on "Install Multimedia Codecs".
