Bug Description
man scim | grep im-switch
Scim's offline documentation doesn't say anything about the use of im-switch, even though it's the method now used in Ubuntu 6.06 Dapper Drake.
Any user using a non-CJK session has to set up scim from the command line to get scim input working. However, offline documentation is misleading and causing many problem for users trying to set it up.
Since the official method is through im-switch, user should be advised this method when looking for help through Yelp or man scim. At the moment, the advised method is too complex to help users, and inacurate because going through steps that are not necessary (and could be harmfull).

Bug is reproductible. Also, it's not a "wishlist" - the situation is misleading and not just "not informative enough".
I'm leaving the Severity to "Normal" because inputing a foreign langage still is seen as "marginal" by many people, but that doesn't really reflect the amount of people concerned by it in the forums or on launchpad.
