Add or change such informations via Kontacts->Open Kontact XY-> Tab Personal Information.
I don't know the exact english notation; I'm using the german desktop.

Addition: it could be a problem of Ubuntu One itself: for https://one.ubuntu.com/contacts/ in my account, I get a 404 at the moment...

hmm, what version of evolution-couchdb are you running? In the latest, you should be able to change most of the fields in that Personal Information tab, except for Calendar/FreeBusy and Video Chat URLs, which are not supported yet by our contacts database

I'm running 0.3.2-0ubuntu2, the latest available. I can change the fields, but they won't be saved.

I think Rodrigo is going to need some further information from Evolution. Can you try these steps for us?

1) Applications->Accessories->Terminal, and run:
    evolution --force-shutdown
    /usr/lib/evolution/evolution-data-server-2.28 > ~/evolution_debug.log
2) Applications->Internet->Evolution Mail
3) Modify your contacts as you've been trying to and once it errors attach ~/evolution_debug.log to this bug report

If evolution-data-server crashed, nothing will be saved, indeed. But yes, we really need the backtrace, so is this still happening for you?

Sorry about answer so late.
Evolution seems to be stable now- no crashes for more than one week. I still can't save personal informations in the couchdb-addressbook, but that's another story.

I was able to get an error when trying to save a contact after adding data to the "Personal Information" tab. I filed a new bug with steps to reproduce, the Evolution log and a screenshot of the error. Please see bug 480346 for more info. Is this the same problem you're having sitronen? Thank you, Joshua

I just tested this several times with the 0.3.3 package in our beta PPA (https://launchpad.net/~ubuntuone/+archive/beta) and can't replicate. Only thing is that you lose the dates, but that's fixed in another branch which should be merged soon (and included in a 0.3.4 release), so please Sitronen, can you please test that package, please?

The problem seems to be that same as the one in Joshua's bug, but I can reproduce it any more whatever I try. What a silly...;-)
So,, make this bug a duplicate and go on with bug #480246.

You've been trying with the 0.3.3 package, or with the 0.3.2 one from karmic? Anyway, marking this one as a duplicate of bug #480246, so any further comments, please add them there
