kubuntu live-installer crash

Bug Description

pressed install
language english
layout swedish
timezone stockholm

When I choose manually edit partition table I get a crash:

TypeError: decoding Unicode is not supported

As a side note..before this installation I started skim opened kate tried ctrl-space to see if it worked(it didn't). closed down skim which crashed. Then choose to install.

Thanks for your report. This is also bug 43125, which I fixed on Friday. Current daily builds (http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/kubuntu/daily-live/current/) contain the fix.
