TypeError: decoding Unicode is not supported
As a side note..before this installation I started skim opened kate tried ctrl-space to see if it worked(it didn't). closed down skim which crashed. Then choose to install.
Thanks for your report. This is also bug 43125, which I fixed on Friday. Current daily builds (http:// cdimage. ubuntu. com/kubuntu/ daily-live/ current/) contain the fix.
