Bug Description

When using the inline tags editor, the list of suggestions often displays way above the input box when it should display just below.

I just tried this out on staging r8111, and here, r8487. Both worked as expected, with the autocomplete options appearing below the input field. I'm using Firefox 3.0.10.

What browser were you using to run the test?

This happens on Mozilla Firefox 3.x and has been reported by several users. Unfortunately, I do not know how to reproduce this reliably.

FWIW, I once managed to move the location where the popup appears by resizing the browser window, to make it smaller.

I reproduced it by changing the window's scrollheight. Looks like the
positioning calculations don't take the amount of page scroll into
effect.
