Bug Description

I have the applet stuck in 'connecting'. I can tell it to disconnect, and then try again but other than the icon changing it doesn't appear to work any better. I'm in a BT openzone using wifi. I logged in, started a browser, signed onto the wifi, and then noticed that u1 was in this state. I would guess that its confused about state or something. ssh works, which suggests clueful or no firewalling.

Could you please attach your syncdaemon.log and syncdaemon-exceptions.log from ~/.cache/ubuntuone/log from this period, if you have them? Also, would you be able to try and replicate the problem again with the latest packages?

Robert,
We'd like to figure out what's causing this bug for you, but we haven't heard back from you in a while. There have been many changes in Ubuntu One since that time you reported the bug and your problem may have been fixed with some of the updates. If you could test the current Ubuntu development version, this would help us a lot. If you can test it, and it is still an issue, we would appreciate if you could upload updated logs by running: apport-collect -p ubuntuone-client bug # . , attach the logs to this report. Just zip your $HOME/.cache/ubuntuone/log/ folder and attach the zip here. You can make an archive of the $HOME/.cache/ubuntuone/log/ folder by right-clicking on it and selecting 'Compress'. You might need to do Ctrl + H (view hidden files) in you Home directory to see the .cache folder. You can attach the logs to this report using the 'Add Attachment or Patch' button at the bottom of the page.

After you attach the logs you can change the 'Status' of your bug back to 'New'. The status of a bug report can be modified by clicking on the current status in the yellow line, which will reveal a sub menu. You can then set a new status in the drop down box.

thank you,
duanedesign
