Bug Description

Binary package hint: hugin

When align images I got an error on autopano / autopano-sift. It just says Exit with code 1. The autopano is installed and in the path.

Hi,

Can you please post the result of the following command:
apt-cache policy hugin

and the log where the Exit with code 1 message appears?

Thanks,
Fabrice

Well, it was a stupid problem. i solved it by putting "autopano-complete" in the preference menu. Wrong executable was setted there. Maybe it's not a bug

Had the same problem, same fix.
Yes, it is a bug, but in the settings, not in any of the the programs.

What happens is that Hugin installs fine in Ubuntu Intrepid, with all the dependencies, but the autopano-executable setting is wrong.
It should indeed be 'autopano-complete' (which is some sort of script as far as I can see), instead of just 'autopano'.

This is an eyesore as it means that Hugin does not work out-of-the-box.
The fix is easy but not obvious, which might turn many people off.

Suggestion for next time: test package by installing and stitching a (small) panorama.

This has been fixed in Jaunty, and in the version in my PPA. (https://launchpad.net/~fabricesp/+archive/ppa)
