Bug Description

HW : Montevina(Thinkpad X200)
OS : Jaunty(9.04)_alpha3_x64

System environment:
-- chipset : Montevina (Intel Corporation Mobile 4 Series Chipset Memory Controller Hub )
-- system architecture : x86_64
-- xf86-video-intel : 2:2.5.1-1ubuntu7
-- xserver : Xorg 1.5.99.3
-- kernel :2.6.28-4-generic
-- Linux distribution :ubuntu-Jaunty-9.04-amd64(alpha3)
-- Machine or mobo model :Montevina(ThinkPad X200)
-- Display connector :LVDS

Steps to reproduce:

1:Run "gnome-display-properties" or "Xrandr"
2:Only probe one item:1280*800.

root@jaunty-alpha3-x200-x64:~# xrandr
Screen 0: minimum 320 x 200, current 1280 x 800, maximum 1280 x 1280
VGA disconnected (normal left inverted right x axis y axis)
LVDS connected 1280x800+0+0 (normal left inverted right x axis y axis) 261mm x 163mm
   1280x800 60.0*+ 50.0
HDMI-1 disconnected (normal left inverted right x axis y axis)
HDMI-2 disconnected (normal left inverted right x axis y axis)

But another OS(e.g.,suse) can probe at least 2 item,for instant:1024*768,800*600.

What is your expected behavior for this? It may be that your monitor simply only advertises a single resolution capability.

Please attach the output of xrandr --verbose and 'sudo get-edid|parse-edid'.
