Bug Description

Binary package hint: hugin

I wanted to make a panorama picture with hugin under Ubuntu Ibex RC, but noticed several problems:

If I open some pictures, and want to use the assistent for aligning the images without creating manual control points it gives me the following error message:
Kommando:autopano-sift --maxmatches 20 /tmp/ap_resMFnuRp "/home/myusername/Bilder/pa251379.jpg" "/home/myusername/Bilder/pa251379.jpg" "/home/myusername/Bilder/pa251380.jpg"
ist fehlgeschlagen mit Fehlercode:255 [translates to: didn't work with error code 255]

This is the output of the in the console when starting hugin and performing the action described:
myusername@computer:~$ hugin

If I first set manual control points, then the align button in the assistant works without any errors. But when I want to create the final panorama, I get the following error message:
nona -z PACKBITS -r ldr -m TIFF_m -o pan2 -i 0 /tmp/huginpto_f9D5lF
nona -z PACKBITS -r ldr -m TIFF_m -o pan2 -i 1 /tmp/huginpto_f9D5lF

false -f5333x2042 -o pan2.tif pan20000.tif pan20001.tif pan20002.tif
make: *** [pan2.tif] Error 1

and it doesn't create the panorama picture. In hardy I never experienced that problem (and there are no spaces in the path to the pictures)

Try to move old hugin settings, like mv .hugin .hugin.old and start stitching again (of course with no hugin running). This helped me.

This is because of bad command line.

This is explained in bug #162575
