Bug Description

Binary package hint: adept

The first time a user starts up adept-manager, adept-updater or adept-batch in KDE 3 or KDE 4, the window is very small and you can hardly see what's going on. The default window size should be bigger for all three applications.

The default horizontal size of the main windows of Adept/Installer/Updater seem a bit small. I always end up resizing it to be wider. The changes don't stick when I re-open Adept, though. That's what really makes this annoying for me, personally.

Also it seems as if Adept doesn't remember the last windows size any more (especially the updater).

I would welcome some help with the resizing issues, btw. I am running a tiling window manager and it's a little impractical to use something else for testing Adept. I can try to get around to it, but if someone debugged that issue, I'd be grateful.

Hello,

Thanks for reporting this feature request! Unfortunately, at this time Kubuntu does not have the developer manpower needed to implement and maintain many features at the Kubuntu level. But don't worry! This issue is being tracked by the KDE developers at: http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=170841
Once implemented in KDE, it will be included in Kubuntu once the KDE version the feature is implemented in reaches Kubuntu.

Adept has been in the unmaintained state for a few years. Use muon[1] as replacement .
