Bug Description

Openoffice does only ship the "ooo-<component>" icons in 48x48 size which means the launchers look blurry inside the menu or on the panel. The same icons are available in 16, 22, 24, 32 and scalable sizes, so all you have to do is add them to the package.

I can attach a tar with the missing sizes if you want.

Really? I just upgraded to the OOo packages in proposed, but I don't see any new icons in /usr/share/hicolor/$size/apps/*

Well it hasn't actually made it into hardy-proposed yet, I thought that it would have been approved by now and built. :-\ It should be by sometime tomorrow.

I just installed the updated packages and all the icon sizes are available now, thanks.

Just two thing's I'm wondering about (don't know if they are worth new bug reports):

- What are those openoffice24-* icons (in apps and mimetypes) shipped for? Can they be removed? They only seem to take diskspace for no good reason.

- Jimmac has done an OOo extension mimetype icon. Do we need something like this? See http://jimmac.musichall.cz/wipicons/MIME2//application-vnd.openofficeorg.extension.png

The OOo extension mimetype will be useful once we have a mimetype for extensions which we currently don't have. :-( Hopefully this will be resolved in Intrepid.

I guess the same bug is happening for the 'text document' icon, which is used in the toolbar ('New text document') and as the window icon for text documents. This icon is blurry both in 22x22 and in high sizes. Is there an easy fix too?

Milan: I always wondered what's wrong with this icon but as I use the small toolbar most of the time I forgot to mention it.
