Bug Description

Binary package hint: libtranslate

I'm using Ubuntu 8.04
The gnome-translate version is 0.99-0ubuntu2

gnome-translate doesn't translate from English to Italian and if I start the application with the terminal I can see the error:

(gnome-translate:7232): libtranslate-WARNING **: unable to translate chunk using Babel Fish: unable to parse server data

(gnome-translate:7232): libtranslate-WARNING **: unable to translate chunk using SYSTRAN: Not Found

I can confirm this in 7.10 as well and not just English to Italian, but in English to many other languages. Either the text is return untranslated (ie. still in English) or an error is returned: "no service could translate chunk." In fact, the only translation I could get to work was English to Chinese. Here is the output on the console:

I've received the patch libtranslate-0.99-services.diff by e-mail.
But I can't know what directory or file specifically must be patched to delete the bug.Can you say this to me?

I've applied successfully the patch. But I discovered the patch doesn't apply nothing. The bug exists yet.

Verification done (x86):

- libtranslate 0.99-0ubuntu4 (hardy): gnome-translator does not work (SYSTRAN: Not Found).
- libtranslate 0.99-0ubuntu4.1 (hardy-proposed): gnome-translator works fine.
  Is it normal that the Translated text starts with "body=" ?

I would want to say one of this bug exists yet:
(gnome-translate:6414): libtranslate-WARNING **: unable to translate chunk using Babel Fish: unable to parse server data

Perhaps this can be the reason of the error:
"=body"

It isn't?
