Bug Description

Hello,

Related to ID #1583357 in regards to the LIS improvements rebase to the 4.6 kernel, we would also like to include the below patches.
These are to fix the kdump feature when running on a Hyper-V VM, as the crash scenarios might not always work for 16.04.

415719160de3fae3bb9cbc617664649919cd00d0 Drivers: hv: vmbus: avoid scheduling in interrupt context in vmbus_initiate_unload()

bbf66d897adf2bb0c310db96c97e8db6369f39e1 clocksource: Allow unregistering the watchdog

d452ab7b4c65dfcaee88a0d6866eeeb98a3d1884 Drivers: hv: vmbus: avoid unneeded compiler optimizations in vmbus_wait_for_unload()

7be3e169444d2c625f15a0b6639252b98d1f226a Drivers: hv: vmbus: don't loose HVMSG_TIMER_EXPIRED messages

7268644734f6a300353a4c4ff8bf3e013ba80f89 Drivers: hv: vmbus: Support kexec on ws2012 r2 and above

Thank you!

This bug is awaiting verification that the kernel in -proposed solves the problem. Please test the kernel and update this bug with the results. If the problem is solved, change the tag 'verification-needed-xenial' to 'verification-done-xenial'.

If verification is not done by 5 working days from today, this fix will be dropped from the source code, and this bug will be closed.

See https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Testing/EnableProposed for documentation how to enable and use -proposed. Thank you!

The missing patch itself doesn't resolve the kdump issues by itself, but nevertheless it should be taken in.

Please merge this one and we'll follow-up in 1400319 with the kdump functionality not working as expected all the time.
Thank you!
