Technically speaking, the patch is gone from the various branches. I committed a patch from Ryan that keeps the notebook-based layout for the various sections (so you don't see a continuous vbox in glade), but keep the IconView selector widget on the left, instead of the (IMO) ugly tabs. So the intent is still there :)
